What is Hypnosis?

"The body cannot differentiate between what is imagination and what is reality. Healing begins with your imagination. "

  • Clinical hypnosis is a focused state of awareness, perception or altered consciousness that is used by licensed and trained doctors or masters prepared individuals, for treating a psychological or physical problem. It is a highly relaxed state.

                                    Although….

  • Relaxation is not hypnosis

  • Hypnosis is mental

  • Relaxation is physical

  • Hypnosis, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration

Have you ever been driving in a car and look up and don’t know where you are at, this is a form of hypnosis. You are able to drive a car, make emergency decisions but are highly focused on your thoughts, subconsciously aware of your surroundings but not consciously  paying attention.

  • State of intense sense of safety coupled with relaxation, the mind is able to laser focus on positive suggestions which can be carried out at a future time.

  • Theta brain wave activity, mind is open to positive suggestions.

  • The person is always in full control at all times

  • Hypnosis sessions are audio recorded (not video) for the patient to keep and listen to as needed

  • “Hypnosis bypasses the conscious mind’s propensity for excuses.’
